10.4 Starting-up the Calibration & Linearity Process

1) Connect the DRM to the computer via the appropriate Comm. Port using a NULL Modem adaptor

(according to the selected port in the set up program).

2) Turn the meter on and ensure dipswitches 1 and two are in the ON position

3) Execute the RMC file.

4) Enter User name up to 12 characters i.e., jsmith.

5) Enter Password, type mgpi (in small letters).

6) To check and calibrate the instrument, first enter Linearity and check As Found. Then enter from the pull

down menu to Instrument/ Calibration. After calibration is performed, return to Linearity and check As

Left.

ote: If the computer / instrument communication failure or is disconnection, the

Communication Error Message is displayed in the computer’s display. Check the

communication cable, Comm. Port, or dip switch settings on the DRM. Also,

check the communications port of the PC.
